All items purchased from Burton are made pursuant to a shipment contract. This means that the risk of loss and title for such items pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier.

Disputes
Any dispute relating in any way to your visit to Burton or to products you purchase through Burton shall be submitted to confidential arbitration in Burlington, Vermont, except that, to the extent you have in any manner violated or threatened to violate Burton’s intellectual property rights, Burton may seek injunctive or other appropriate relief in any state or federal court in the state of Vermont, and you consent to exclusive jurisdiction and venue in such courts. Arbitration under this agreement shall be conducted under the rules then prevailing of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitrator's award shall be binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, no arbitration under this Agreement shall be joined to an arbitration involving any other party subject to this Agreement, whether through class arbitration proceedings or otherwise.

Burton has created this Privacy Policy to let you know that we take your privacy seriously. We want you to know about how we gather information on this website, and what we do with it.

Information We Collect Occasionally

  • Information You Give Us: We receive and store any information you enter on our Web site or give us in any other way. We use the information that you provide for such purposes as responding to your requests, customizing future shopping for you and communicating with you. What Happens to the Information We Collect?

Any information you give us stays strictly in-house at Burton, we don’t sell or share the info with outside sources. We maintain strict security over the information you give us and use this information only for the purposes listed below:

  • To process your order.
  • To send you information you have requested from Burton and to update you on the status of your information request.
  • Occasionally, we may send you free promotional materials.
  • We may use the information to monitor guest traffic patterns and site usage to help us develop and design the layout of our websites.
  • If you provided information as part of the registration to Community, we use the information to contact you with information about snowboarding that you may find interesting, as well as special offers.
  • We maintain the personally identifying information in-house at Burton, except when you request a Catalog out of season. In that instance, we have an outside source we hire to send out notification to everyone that the requested Catalog(s) is on its way, and when to expect it. This outside mailing source does not maintain the contact information after notification is sent.
  • We disclose personal information when we believe release is necessary to comply with the law, enforce or apply our Terms & Conditions or protect the rights, property, or safety of Burton, our users, or others.

Is our site secure?
We promise to protect your personal information. Any page at Burton.com that asks you for personal information (name, address, credit cart) is a secure page. These pages employ state-of-the-art SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption to protect your personal information from unauthorized use. We at Burton Snowboards are pleased to hear from our loyal fans and welcome your comments regarding our products and services. Unfortunately, however, our company policy does not allow Burton, RED, Anon Optics, Gravis Footwear, Channel Islands Surfboards or Analog to accept or consider creative ideas, suggestions, or materials other than those that we have specifically requested.

We hope you will understand that it is the intent of this policy to avoid the possibility of future misunderstandings when projects developed by our professional staff might seem to others to be similar to their own creative work. Please do not send us any unsolicited original creative materials such as ideas, concepts, or artwork. While we do value your feedback on our services and products, we request that you be specific in your comments on those services and products, and not submit any creative ideas, suggestions, or materials (unless specifically requested by us).

If, through participation in certain activities, you send any material (e.g., postings to message boards, contests, etc.) or, despite our policy, you send us unsolicited creative suggestions, ideas, notes, drawings, concepts, or other information (collectively, the "Submissions"), the Submissions shall be deemed, and shall remain, our property. warranty

All Gravis footwear, socks, and softgoods are covered for six (6) months from the date of purchase. Gravis bags are covered for one (1) year from the date of purchase.

Gravis warrants that products sold by Burton to be free of defects in material or workmanship for the above noted periods. If a product is found to be defective by Gravis, in its sole discretion, Gravis’ only responsibility shall be limited to a repair or replacement of the defective product. Gravis will not be responsible for any costs, losses or damages incurred as a result of loss or use of product.

This warranty is subject to the following limitations in addition to any imposed by virtue of law.

The warranty applies only to Gravis products purchased from Authorized Gravis Dealers and is valid for the original purchaser only. All products returned to Gravis for warranty inspection must receive prior return authorization which can be given over the phone. Ship products freight pre-paid and insured. Gravis assumes no responsibility for products during shipment from customer to our Warranty Department. Shipping charges are not refundable Excluded from coverage under this warranty are the following: Normal wear and tear. Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or neglect. Any and all claims for consequential or incidental damages. All coverage under this warranty is void if any modification, change or alteration has been made to the product that is not specifically authorized in writing by Gravis. Repaired or replaced products are covered for the remainder of the original warranty only. All warranty claims must be accompanied by the original purchase receipt from an Authorized Gravis Dealer. Invoice or charge receipt must clearly identify the dealer. Gravis product is not covered by any verbal warranties. ALL WARRANTIES IMPLIED BY STATE LAW, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE HEREBY LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF TH WRITTEN WARRANTY. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATION ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. WITH THE EXCEPTION OF ANY WARRANTIES IMPLIED BY STATE LAW AS HEREBY LIMITED, THE FOREGOING EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, GUARANTEES, AGREEMENTS AND SIMILAR OBLIGATIONS OF MANUFACTURER OR SELLER. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.

Tips – The low-down.

STEP ONE Evaluate the validity of the claim.

Was the product purchased in the time period noted above? Does the damage appear to be attributable to defective materials or workmanship? Does the damage appear to be due to abuse, negligence, or reactions to heat, solvents, or harsh detergents?

STEP TWO Bring the product to the store where it was purchased OR call for a Return Authorization (RA) Number.

Consumers call 1-800-881-3138. Tell us WHAT you are sending back- describe the product. Tell us WHY you are sending it back- describe the problem. Record the RA # and details for future reference.

STEP THREE Pack and ship the product immediately!

Include a copy of the original proof of purchase (receipt) Include a brief description of the problem and the RA #. Mark the defect clearly with a piece of masking tape. Customers are responsible for shipping charges to Gravis. Overnight and 2-Day shipments to Gravis will be returned in the same manner at Gravis’ expense. W48 GOES INTO EFFECT WHEN WE RECEIVE THE PRODUCT. (What is W48? This means the product will be on its way back to you in 2 business days.) Within 48 hours of the receipt of product, the claim will be handled in one of the following ways:

If the returned product is the within the valid warranty period and judged by Gravis to be defective, we will repair or replace the product. The warranty remains valid on repaired and replaced items for the balance of remaining coverage period. If the problem is not covered under warranty nor repairable, the product will be returned as is.
